Review - Deeper Than Midnight - Lara Adrian

Deeper Than Midnight (Midnight Breed, #9)Deeper Than Midnight by Lara Adrian

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It has been so long since I delved into the lives of the Midnight Breed. This book had all of them in it, and I loved it for that. I got to peek into what was happening with them. I got to see the joys and the heartaches. And there are plenty of both in this one.

Hunter - yay, Hunter. I am so glad to see his personality surface in this book. I was afraid he was more robot than Breed in the earlier books, and a lot was made clearer in this book how Dragos shaped his Hunters.

I liked Corinne, she's a fighter, and went after what she wanted. I liked her and Hunter together. And I loved the little twists in the plot.

The ending of this left me hanging. I need the next one now because this one just ended - Bam! - like a chapter ending, not a whole book.

I'm excited to read Chase's story, and I really, really hope he finds redemption. I have always liked him and it has hurt to watch him slide. Especially the things he does in this one. Ouch.

A short review, because I liked it and I'm panting to find out what happens in the next one.

If you haven't read this series yet, you must.

  1. Hunter and Corinne's love story was beautiful, yet so complicated. I love Hunter and the history behind the strong silent deadly man. It left the plot open for the next book; I can not wait to see what happens with Harvard aka Chase. You also got insight into the past characters to still feel connected to their lives and their growth.
