Only Tuesday?

I can't figure out how to update my list of blogs I follow without having their specific URL on hand. I wish it would just make a list of all the blogs I hit "Follow" on, because I know there are more than what is showing up here...

Anyway. I entered Eve Silver's contest to win her a book in her new series. Sins of the Heart. This just looks good. And I won a bookmark from her on Twitter earlier this summer, I'm excited to get my hands on this book. :) Her site is www.evesilver.net

I'm still in Lover Avenged.  I know, I know. But I'm busy, and it's 500 and some pages long! LOL... Warning, if you haven't read it: spoilers... It just breaks my heart how hard JM becomes. Xhex and Tohr both did a number on him, but he was kinda weinie at first, and then he becomes all hard and almost, almost unlikable. Maybe I just wouldn't react that way, so I don't like that JM - whom I love- does it. But it sets up Lover Mine  well. and things work out in that book, so it's a little easier to read. I'm glad Tohr is finally up and wanting to be included. I love that he is back. I hope he gets an HEA at some point, though I know he will forever be heartbroken over Wellsie...

Anyway. That's what I'm doing. Oh, and re-watching Buffy, season 7. For the umpteenth time. Every now and then I start with season 1 and just go through the episodes. I love Buffy... probably more than any other show. I may move onto Angel when season 7 is done.  But I'll be back at school, so not a lot of extra time for TV.

Alrighty, off to read or do something productive. :)

Currently reading

So, why am I re-reading Lover Avenged? Because the BDB series by J.R. Ward is simply amazing!! And Lover Mine recently came out, and there were all these details I did not remember. So I went back and started at the beginning and am now almost finished reading the series for the 2nd time, which is good- because the new one comes out in early 2011- Lover Unleashed, Manny and Payne's story. So excited for the new book! Mostly for the continuing story of Qhuinn and Blay. I love them! The BDB series is easily one of my top series of all time! Thank you, Warden, for this marvelous world!

I am also in the middle of Black Magic Sanction, another series I love. Kim Harrison has created a wonderful world I wish I was a part of! And I would love to hang out with Rachel Morgan! :) I haven't finished yet, because my reading time is limited being home with the kids all day. You wouldn't think it would be, but one has very little free time when you have to take care of 2 kids and the house, and everything else going on in my life. So far, it's a great book, though. I started this series almost at the beginning and can't wait for the next installment, Pale Demon.

Lastly, I have been reading Skin Trade for a while now, trying to slog through it. Laurell K. Hamilton is probably one of my favorites of all time. She really got me into this genre almost 15 years ago, I think. (Though I was reading vampires in jr. high.) And I have been with Anita since the beginning. For some reason, the books just keep getting harder to get through. It's not that I don't enjoy them. I do. I can't explain what's going on. Maybe they're too long and I need to just sit and read more. :) Anita has little quirks, though, that kind of drive me crazy.  I like her Merry series, as well, and would like another installment of that series. I do have Flirt and Bullet yet to read when I finish Skin Trade.

I wish I could put up my TBR, but it is probably close to 200 books. And so far this year, I've read 41 books. Hopefully, this blog will help me to better archive my reading. I may end up slowing down here a bit, as I am the new 8th grade teacher at St. Mary's, I'm taking 3 independent classes to finish up getting my teacher's license, and I have coaching to do as well... So bear with me. :) Enjoy! Leave comments, so I know you were here. :)

The beginning

So, I have another, personal blog where I vent and rant and such... But lately I have been perusing more and more book blogs and I decided to be creative (ha!) and start one of my own. Just in case, you know, anyone was interested in what I had to say. I will link some of my favorite blogs that have reviews and interviews and contests, and are way cooler than mine, as well as some of my favorite authors' blogs.  Yes, I tend to stalk my favorite authors on Facebook, Twitter, and their blogs... Haha! It's a whole new world now, and they are so much more accessible than they used to be. I love it! So, wish me luck, and hopefully I can figure out how to link other blogs like I promised.

Right now I'm reading Black Magic Sanction, am re-reading Lover Avenged, and trying to get through Skin Trade.
